A. One doesn't usually see many on Sardis Lake at night fishing for crappie but crappie can be caught on most lakes at night. Some lakes, such as Florida lakes, have almost as much night crappie fishing and day fishing.
Q. What is the best bait to use for Crappie?
A. During the Spring fishing, (February-March), trolling or dipping jigs can produce large stringers of Crappie. This comes down mostly to personal preference, some like tube jigs others hair or something similar. Depending on the style of fishing you will be doing will determine a lot on the type of bait one will use. Let's not forget the minnow, after all it has the right color, the right wiggle and the right smell. Tipping those jigs with minnows is a favorite of many good crappie fishermen and women.
